Australia Photos Part 2: SPIDER ALERT OMG
My mum found this lovely lady munching on a rather frightening number of wasps this afternoon and I was like skgjsljgds HOW DID IT CATCH THAT MANY but like no complaints I guess, it made for great photos ;;
I have no idea what kind of spider this is but it was pretty big… [EDIT] It’s a Nephila Edulis! (Thanks to my mum’s entomologist friend for humouring my questions.)
I’m going to be in Melbourne for the next few days (I don’t think I’ll have internet orz). It’ll be my first time there, we booked some tour buses to go see penguins and stuff. Yay!

Australia Photos Part 1: Spiders and bugs
While I’m in Canberra I figured I’d take the opportunity to mess around with photography again. There are so many animals and insects here! These were all found in the garden of my parents’ house. I love how some of the spiders here like to wrap themselves up in leaves and things, it’s very cute u3u

We planned this shoot absolutely ages ago but it kept getting postponed;;; Then I took ages to edit it because I ended up being really busy once I got to Australia (oops). NOW FINALLY IT IS DONE! More hopefully to come in the future? With more characters and less procrastination??? Maybe?? orz

The cutest praying mantis!
When I saw it I said “Hi Bug!” and it turned to look at me. It posed for me for as long as I needed it to and when I finished taking pictures I said “Bye Bug!” and it strutted off up the wall again…

I nearly froze to death during this shoot even though I was wearing three layers. Hopefully my editing managed to capture a bit of the atmosphere we were trying to portray despite my stiff posing..
